Senior Data Strategist

ZGF is seeking a Senior Data-Strategist to join our team. This position is a leadership role that focuses on managing firm-wide research connected to human wellness, efficiency, and space utilization. Key responsibilities: interfacing with clients and project teams to address research proposals/services; steering firm-wide research initiatives; leading and coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team and communicating research outcomes to a range of stakeholders.

As a Senior Data-Strategist, you will…

  • Grow a firmwide strategy surrounding modern space needs that address generational, cultural, and hierarchical drivers of our projects
  • Oversee the implementation of user feedback tools including: surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, building sensors and sensing technologies, and building performance data with best practice methodologies
  • Work with broader data/research team to develop and maintain data pipelines and related resources to ensure quality, accessibility and visibility of work product
  • Participate in Marketing pursuits—content generation and interview participation—to win new work
  • Collaborate closely with project teams and clients to recommend and deliver appropriately designed analysis and interventions
  • Research and socialize industry trends and stay up-to-date on competitive analysis research in and out of the AEC industry
  • Develop thought-leadership content on a frequent basis that includes a variety of media, including white papers, blog posts, videos, infographics, and podcasts
  • Attend and speak at relevant conferences

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a social science (anthropology, sociology, psychology), a quantitative discipline or related field
  • Years of proven experience in design, data collection, analysis, and reporting of applied research
  • Unafraid to dive into the data and understand the implications
  • High level of comfort collaborating with clients from the C-suite to Facilities Personnel for a range of organizations—hospitals, Fortune 500 companies, universities, city municipalities, etc.
  • Ability to act as a firmwide resource for six offices across North America
  • Preferred qualifications: familiarity with popular industry software for data analysis and visualization
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with bias toward creating new initiatives and programs based on firm needs and industry trends
  • Demonstrated ability to direct and lead cross-functional teams
  • A collaborative and team-oriented disposition; a sense of humor and grace under pressure; persistent, tactful, and enthusiastic
  • Sound professional judgment, strong work ethic, positive and client-focused attitude
