Intern Landscape Architect (UD-4)

Work as a team member in support of Planning and Urban Design collaborating with senior level Planning and Urban Design staff and Project Designer or Project Architect

Duties:

  1. Independently utilize publishing skills to create descriptive and technical writing, layouts, specifications and graphics.
  2. General drafting and rendering of plans, sections, elevations, as-builts, and redline pickups using REVIT, Autodesk CAD, and SketchUp. 
  3. Execute and develop design and technical solutions, building and site systems and materials for landscape architecture projects in all phases. 
  4. Drive the design process; author ideas.
  5. Collaborate with Landscape, Urban Design, Architectural, Interior Design, and Marketing teams to independently create and be responsible for project design work including digital and physical modeling in all aspects of design phases.
  6. Independently design and produce presentation and display materials as a member of the project team.
  7. Lead team efforts to meet project quality, schedule, and budget goals.
  8. Establish productive working relationships and deal effectively and cooperatively with clients and consultants.
  9. Review work product of less experienced staff members to effectively utilize their efforts on projects.
  10. Review RFPs and develop proposals, project management for small scale projects.
  11. Work on planning, design guidelines and standards for international projects. 

Education:      Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field (foreign equivalent accepted).

Experience:       3 years' experience as an Intern Landscape Architect, Landscape Architect, Landscape Designer or similar position.

Skills/Requirements:     

  1. Three years professional experience utilizing Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite, AutoDesk CAD, Google SketchUp, and Microsoft Office Suite software
  2. Professional experience (any) with international district planning
  3. Professional experience (any) with 3D graphic visualization
  4. Submission of portfolio containing all of the following: A) samples of at least two (2) sets of photo-realistic renderings of commercial or mixed-use building projects suitable for use by an architectural firm (at least four renderings total), B) at least two (2) samples of hand drawings, and C) a technical plan and section drawing for at least four (4) different projects

All experience, skills and requirements may be gained concurrently.
